  Description: 
  Bone wax, a sterile and non-absorbable wax, is composed of beeswax, isopropyl palmitate and plant oil. it is light yellow , available as a 2. 5g solid rectangular slab.
  Indication:
  Bone wax is used to control bleeding from the divided, drilled or chipped edged of bone by physically plugging the osseous canals which contain the bleeding capillaries.
  Application:
  First warm the hard aseptic bone wax to the desired consistency by manipulation with the finger. then apply the softened wax to the bone edge as indicated by surgical circumstances and the preference of the surgeon.
  Performance:
  Bone wax achieves local hemostasis of bone by acting as a mechanical barrier.
  Mild inflammatory reactions have been reported in tissue immediately adjacent to the site of implantation
  Contraindication:
  Bone wax should not be used where rapid osseous regeneration and fusion are desired.
  Precaution:
  Bone wax should be used sparingly and excess removed from the operative site.
  Bone wax may act as a physical barrier to the reparative process of bones
  The package containing box should be opened just prior to use to minimize the possibility of comtamination and excessive drying
  Adverse Reactions:
  Adverse reactions include mild inflammatory reactions in tissus adjacent to the site of implantation and inhibition of osteogenesis. Like all foreign bodles, bone wax may enhance an existing infection.
  Sterility:
  Bone wax is sterilized by irradiation but can not be resterilized. do not use if package is opened or damaged.
  Discard opened and unused bone wax
  Storage:
  Kept away from moisture or direct heat below 25^oC
  Do not use after expiry date
