• The clinical significance of microalbuminuria

                Urine protein is one of the most important projects of checking the chemical composition of urine. Normal glomerulus has a layer of filtration membrane.The relative bigger molecular of protein can't pass this layer filtration membrane when it is in good case,however smaller molecular of protein can go through the filtration membrane. Urine going through the glomerular filtration ,when it flows through the convoluted tubules ,most small proteins can be absorbed in a  repeated way, although renal tubular cell and lower urinary tract  secrete  some proteins by themselves. Many patients with urinary illness would have direct reaction through urine sample, for example:kidney disease, urinary tract disease, infectious diseases, circulatory disease, endocrine diseases.

              Microalbunminuria refers to the urine albumin content exceeds the healthy range, but the conventional method cannot  detect the subtle changes. In order to make it in a standard way, MAU secreting rate method is used in internation by knowing the elimination of MAU secretion in urine. Healthy MAU range<20mg-30mg/24h(<20mg-30mg/min); The range<20mg-30mg/24h is called MUA ;the range >300/24/h is called Lots of albuminuria.The increasing of elimination ofMAU may tell the change of early disease, would be a important reference value in early diagnosis and early treatment and clinical significance.
