I am responsible for the trade mark and patent portfolio of The Laryngeal Mask Company Limited, an affiliate of Teleflex Incorporated, and you may recall that I have been in touch previously regarding your use of our proprietary trademark “LMA” in relation to your laryngeal masks. You kindly removed these references from a number of web pages, but the references to LMA remain on this page.
You have, of course, been made aware through previous correspondence that “LMA” is not a generic term and is not freely available for use. On the contrary, LMA is a proprietary trade mark and is our main corporate brand. The mark LMA is protected by numerous trade mark registrations in relation to surgical and medical products in over 100 countries around the world. Your use of the term “LMA” is therefore not acceptable as generic use, nor has it been authorised by us. You will appreciate that the unauthorised use of our registered trademark LMA constitutes an infringement of the rights given by the registration.
Now that this has been brought to your attention again, can you please remove these references from this web page.
