• The surface of catheter is covered with hydrophilic polymer by coupled action of a coupling agent. The principle is that one end of coupling agent is connected to the hydrophobic group on the surface of the catheter, the other end is connected to the hydrophilic polymer. The hydrophilic polymer on the surface will dissolve and expand quickly when the catheter meets water. So it shows super lubricate. The hydrogel surface has high water-retention abilities and remains self-lubricating throughout the entire catheterization insertion and withdrawal process.
