The Amender PDA occluder is a percutaneous, transcatheter
device especially designed for closure of normally located
PDA. The treatment is feasible in the very young pediatric
population. The occluder is made of a Nitinol wire mesh
shaped into a cylindrical plug with a flange to secure the
occluder in the right position. Three pieces of polyester
fabric swen inside help close the hole and provide a
foundation for growth of tissue over the occluder after
placement. The product adopts the patented technology
Intergal Weaving to provide a non stick-out structure.
