ABILITIESme is an initiative launched on August 23rd, 2012 by its organiser, DMG Events, its host, ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center), its strategic partner HAAD (Health Authority Abu Dhabi) and its host of key partners and supporters.

Held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Honorary President of Abu Dhabi Future Centre for Special Needs, ABILITIESme underlines DMG Events, ADNEC and HAAD support for the provision of education and awareness on special needs and disabilities among the UAE citizens and residents including government entities, corporations and families across the Pan-Arabian Gulf.

ABILITIESme is a multilayered event that includes a leadership conference to voice the concerns of people with disabilities and special needs communities, policy makers, educators and disability activists.

ABILITIESme also proposes an assistive technology showcases to explore the most recent scientific advancements to achieve higher level of independance and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and special needs.

ABILITIESme also caters to parents' anxieties or expectations by providing relief with special programmes and workshops.
