Transcranial Doppler(TCD)system non-invasively measures intracranial blood flow velocities using pulsed echo ultrasound probe. Base upon spectum analysis, Hemodynameics indices are calculated. Change of these indices correlate with all kinds of cranial blood diseases such as vasoconstriction or vasodilation. This technology has proved to be a very effective way to diagnose cerbral vessel diseases. This method of measurement is particularly useful for examining the major arteries supplying blood to the brain.
