Gel & Clot Activator tube is widely used for blood chemical tests and immunology tests. There is a barrier gel inside the tube. Serum separation gel is a kind of macromolecule polymerization substance which is not soluble, inoxidizable and stable, with the characters of anti-hyperthermia and anti-hypothermia. Its proportion is between serum and blood cells. It will be liquidized with 1100-1500g centrifugal force, and then it will move to the middle of the tube turning into a stable barrier which can effectively separate the serum from fibrin and cells, while keeping biochemical characters and chemical components of serum unchanged for 48 hours under frozen condition. After centrifugation, the barrier can effectively separate the serum from fibrin and cells, while preventing substance exchange between blood cell and serum. As a result, it can keep biochemical characters and chemical components of serum unchanged for a long time. Serum can also be aspirated directly from the collection tube, no need for transfer to another container.
