1. Clean and dry the skin before using Innomed transparent dressing.
2. Make sure the transparent dressing is big enough, it must be at least 2.5CM larger than each margin of the wound area or puncture spot.
3. New dressing is required when the catheter needs to be changed; The USCDC suggests change the transparent film every three days when it is used for I. V. Fixation. The transparent dressing can be used for maximun 7days when it is used for fixing PICC.
4. Change the dressing immediately when it is broken or dropped off.
5. When change the film, please pay attention don't drop off the I. V catheter.
6. The exudatoin may influence the viscosity of the dressing, please change a new one if there is too much exudation.
7. Viscosity will be influenced by cleanser, bactericide or antibiotic ointment on to the skin.
8. Don't drag the dressing when put it on the skin, or it may cause unnecessary hurt on skin.
9. Once there is infection, please tear off the film and do necessary treatment. Make suitable medical care and change the dressing frequently or stop using the transparent dressing if necessary.
