- Product Detials:Biofilter membrane is a noval filter medium developed in recent years. It has found applications in food, drink and medical fields due to its advantages such as chemical stability, corrosion resistance, reasonable membrane structure, good hydrophilicity and high permeability. Blood transfusion set with leucocyte removal filter is one of such applications. Biofilter membranes made from inorganic microfibers are highly efficacious in depleting leucocytes from donor blood and blood preparations, their outstanding features include high leucocyte depletion, high erythrocyte or platelet recovery and low damage of erythrocytes or platelets during filtration. In 1994, this Company started co-operation with Nanjing Red-Cross Blood Center in developing blood transfusion units with leucocyte removal filters. Both partners carried out researches respectively in respects of filter materials, products and clinical applications. With many technical difficulties surmounted through efforts in several years, the product passed technical appraisal at the end of 1995 and passed the sampling inspection conducted by State Medicine Administration in 1996. The product’s 32 targets in biological, chemical and operation properties were all up to standard, among which the leucocyte depletion rate was 99.99% and erythrocyte recovery 93.8%, both reaching the world’s advanced level. In 1996, the product was put into clinical uses for several hundreds of cases and proved to be safe and efficient. In 1999, the product was awarded a new product registration certificate and a manufacture licence by State Medicine Administration. At present, the product has been used by most medical establishments in China, achieving remarkable benefits. 1. Achieved all certificates of state approvals. 2. Earned ISO9002 Certification. 3. Earned CE Certification by European Union. 4. Appraised as an important new product in China in 1997. 5.
