It is administered orally or intravenously and is metabolized in the liver. Excretion occurs through the kidneys in concentrations of 5mg/ml or greater. Twenty-four hours after a dose of administration, urine levels of methadone maintenance patients typically range from 1 to 5ug/ml.
One Step Methadone Urine Test is a rapid urine screening test that can be performed without the use of an instrument. The test utilizes a monoclonal antibody to selectively detect elevated levels of Methadone in urine. Test yields a positive result when Methadone levels in urine reaches 300ng/ml.
