The sample enters into the closed canister through the pipe by peristaltic pump, then filter out through the membrane which pore diameter is 0.45m or 0.22m. If there is any germ, it will be hold back above the membrane, and after rinsing the anti-microbial components, the closed canister is filled with media and used for incubation without any exposition to the environment.
